All programs at VCA are conducted within the context of experiencing West African culture in a traditional setting out of the tourist mainstream.

Arts and cultural studies, daily and ritual life, and community service in the education sector are all grounded in a participant-observation format.

The Center is home base, with day and overnight travel excursions to historical sites, cultural and ritual events, markets, and ecological points of interest.

Groups can request that programs be tailored to provide concentrations in specified areas such as music, art, ritual practices, eco-experiences, or community service.
